100 Hot Meals Served Christmas Eve Day 2021

Friday December 24, 2021

The 1026 Foundation handed out 100 hot meals to the homeless in the subways and on the streets of South Jamaica Queens. The meals were prepared by  Rincon Salvedorano Restaurant @rincon_salvadoreno_restaurant located at 92-15 149th St. Queens, NY 11435. This was also made possible by Jonathan Forgash of Queens Together @qns_together, a nonprofit advocating for Queens restaurateurs impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

I took my kids out with and we handed out hot meals and light conversation to those who accepted a warm meal.

As the teachers & staff returned to work today to prepare their classroom and spaces for the kids of P.S. 52, it was an honored to give a small replenishment of supplies. The supplies request list ranged from glue sticks to copy paper not only were all supplies needs were meet, 25 back packs were donated by a corporate donor. These supplies will serve the kids and families in need. Thank you all!

To honor the returning teachers & staff of P.S. 52, The 1026 Foundation was able to give the Teacher’s lounge a new Keurig Coffee Maker with 192 K-cups supply that will be maintained and restocked by The 1026 Foundation.
