The 1026 Foundation, Inc. @the1026.org partnered with ElIJA Farm www.elijafarm.org @elijafarm to sponsor a tour for P.S. 52 “Garden Club”. The kids had an opportunity to learn about cultivating & harvesting. “Best trip this year”, said one of the students. P.S. 52 is an elementary school PK through 5 school located Springfield Gardens, NY within a food desert where fresh produce is not sold locally. “My goal is to expose kids to healthy eating in hopes the kids will one day advocate for healthier for choices in their own neighborhoods” – Mel Vail, Jr. Founder & CEO The 1026 Foundation, Inc.

Our first major project “free mobile/outdoor food distribution site”, will provide fresh produce & fruits to a local community in the Springfield section of Queens, NY. The distribution site will operate during spring through fall season. Donations & contributions are greatly needed and ongoing.
